Oh linoleum,
My only friend;
Amongst my twins just like me.
You've propped me up through thick and thin,
Though dirtier you are slightly.
The fridge and the stove think they have it made,
But I hold all of your dealings;
From pots to pans,
And food to rags,
Without ever freezing or searing.
My brilliance lies in my simplicity,
As for all of my uses,
I will never need electricity!
